What happened Thursday in the first round at the Farmers?

Justin Rose fired a blistering opening-round, bogey-free 62 and holds the lead after 18 holes. Rose made 10 birdies and eight pars en route to a 62 on the North Course at Torrey Pines. He is one shot ahead of Justin Lower, who sits in solo second at 9 under.

Luckily we have family close and everything. She’s going through it right now. Life’s about to get real if it wasn’t real already.”
