The NASCAR Cup Series continues in the Round of 12 in the playoffs with the Hollywood Casino 400 on Sept. 28 at Kansas Speedway.

Kansas marks the second of three races in this playoff round, with the cutoff race at Charlotte Roval next weekend.

Ryan Blaney locked into the Round of 8 by winning last week’s race at New Hampshire.

Kyle Larson won the Kansas race in the spring and has won two of the last three Cup races at the 1.5-mile track.

Here are The Tennessean’s expert picks for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas:

Mike Organ’s pick: Kyle Larson, No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet

Larson won in dominating fashion at Kansas in the spring leading 221 of 267 laps. He has won three of the last 10 races at Kansas and is coming off a top-10 finish at New Hampshire.

Nick Gray’s pick: Denny Hamlin, No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota

Lean into the drama with Hamlin and teammate Ty Gibbs stemming from last week’s on-track altercation at New Hampshire. Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing have been very good at Kansas as of late.

Tom Kreager’s pick: Denny Hamlin, No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota

Hamlin has had lots of success in recent years at Kansas. That includes five top-five finishes over the last seven races. And let’s be honest: He needs to run out front to stay away from his teammate Ty Gibbs so Gibbs doesn’t get revenge from last week’s spin out.
