The Buffalo Sabres unsurprisingly let Victor Olofsson hit the free-agent market last off-season. This was after he was the subject of trade rumors all of last season and had just 15 points in 51 games. From there, he signed a one-year, $1.075 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights.

While Olofsson had a year to forget with the Sabres in 2023-24, he has had a great start to his Golden Knights tenure. In 11 games with the Pacific Division club, he has seven goals and nine points.

Olofsson notably was out from mid October to late November, but he has not slowed down since returning from injury. The 29-year-old is currently on a three-game goal streak, where he has four over that span. This includes a two-goal night in his last contest against the Minnesota Wild on Dec. 15.

Clearly, Olofsson was overdue for a change of scenery before moving on from the Sabres. Now, he is bouncing back big time with Vegas and is proving to be an excellent bargain signing for them in the process.
