Former Juventus and Inter Milan winger Juan Cuadrado has claimed “Inter are the strongest” ahead of Saturday’s Derby d’Italia, but “Juve are Juve.”

The Colombian claimed that Juventus have “strengthened themselves with strong players but Inter are the strongest.”

Cuadrado stands by this, “even if they didn’t win anything last year.”

The former Chelsea player also recalled his performances against Inter.

“I scored six goals against the Nerazzurri,” Cuadrado said, “There’s no other team I’ve hurt more, that’s true!”

Gazzetta asked Cuadrado what Juventus means to him and the Colombian confessed “I’m a Juventus fan.”

“My mother still lives there and my children were born in Turin.”

He continued, “I experienced eight magical seasons, winning five league titles and several cups. My only regret is the Champions League final loss in Cardiff.”

Finally, Cuadrado talked about his time playing for Inter.

In that campaign, he played 12 times in all competitions in a year marred by injury.

“Yes the injury affected me,” Cuadrado said, “but I was part of a champions’ group and won the Scudetto with the second star.”

“I chose Inter because my family wanted to stay in Italy. Simone Inzaghi always had faith in me.”

This season, Cuadrado joined newly-promoted side Pisa as they attempt to stay in Italy’s top flight.
