The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Drake Caggiula to the Bakersfield Condors, the team announced Tuesday.

Caggiula, who began his career with the Oilers when he first entered the NHL, got into two games with the team and collected an assist. Having also seen six games with the Condors in 2024-25, he scored two goals and collected five points.

Since turning pro in 2016, Caggiula has played for the Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins. In 284 career NHL regular season games, he has put up 46 goals and 46 assists for 92 points.

With Caggiula now set to re-join the Condors, he will be relied upon to play a big role for the team. Having proven he is still a solid depth player at the NHL level, it won’t be surprising to see Caggiula called up again in the near future if someone is sidelined.
