The Eagles have pulled off another trade for a cornerback.

This time, the Eagles acquired former Pro Bowl corner Jaire Alexander from the Ravens for a late-round pick swap.

Here are the terms of the trade:

Eagles get: Jaire Alexander, 2027 seventh-round pick

Ravens get: 2026 sixth-round pick

Alexander, 28, was a Pro Bowler in 2020 and 2022 with the Packers but has played in just two games with the Ravens this season after playing a total of 14 games in 2023 and 2024 combined.

While Alexander’s name is well known, he has not been a factor with the Ravens this season. He has been a healthy scratch five times since joining the Ravens on a one-year deal in June.

But this seems like a low-risk move that could pay off for the Eagles.

The Eagles have struggled to find a consistent outside cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell all season. Those reps have been split mostly between Kelee Ringo and Adoree’ Jackson as Cooper DeJean plays inside on nickel downs. Looking ahead, Jakorian Bennett is also eligible to come off IR. So you can toss Alexander’s name in the mix too.

If Alexander gets caught up to speed, it’s possible he could be a starting option to help solidify the back end of Vic Fangio’s defense.

And Alexander has some familiarity with Eagles DBs coach Christian Parker, who coached him for two seasons (2019 and 2020) in Green Bay. Parker’s last season with Alexander was Alexander’s first of two Pro Bowl seasons.

Alexander (5-10, 196) spent his first seven NFL seasons in Green Bay but the Packers released him in June. He signed with the Ravens but has not played much in Baltimore. In his career, Alexander has played in 80 career games with 76 starts and has 12 interceptions and 70 pass breakups. The Packers selected him No. 18 overall out of Louisville in the 2018 draft.

This is the second trade Eagles GM Howie Roseman has pulled off this week. On Wednesday, Roseman acquired nickel cornerback Michael Carter II and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Jets in exchange for John Metchie III and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

The NFL trade deadline is at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and it’s very possible Roseman is not finished yet.

In addition to making the trade for Alexander on Saturday, the Eagles also placed two players on Injured Reserve: OLB Azeez Ojulari and S Marcus Epps.
