The Detroit Red Wings have recalled goaltender Sebastian Cossa from the Grand Rapids Griffins, it was announced Monday.

Cossa, who was drafted by the Red Wings in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft, has spent the entire season in the AHL thus far. In 14 appearances, he has a record of 9-4-1 to go along with a 2.21 GAA and a .925 SV%.

Throughout his three year pro career, Cossa has made 57 regular season appearances for the Griffins, collecting a record of 32-14-10, a 2.49 GAA and a .911 SV% along with three shutouts.

With this being his first NHL recall, Cossa joined the team for practice Monday. With the Red Wings scheduled to take on the Boston Bruins Tuesday, Cossa could be making his NHL debut.
