Ahead of RAW, Keys shared an update for his mother’s birthday, where he paid tribute to her and hoped it was a good birthday in heaven.

“I hope your Birthday in heaven was great mama. I love you.”

Keys has spoken about his mother publicly while on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast and recalled CM Punk paying tribute to her.

“I remember having a match with CM Punk a month after my mom died and he goes, ‘None of this sh*t matters, your mom is sitting front row there tonight.’ After the match, he pins me and he taps me on the chest. My mom’s nickname was Nita and he goes, ‘This one’s for Nita,’ and I just lost it,”

Several WWE fans have since shared messages to Keys following the update.

When will Royce Keys return to WWE?

Royce Keys was a massive signing for WWE, but it seems that there have been some issues when it comes to fitting him into the roster.

With WrestleMania now less than three weeks away, it seems that Keys is an unlikely addition to the show, but he could make his debut on the RAW after WrestleMania.

In recent years, this has been seen as one of the biggest shows of the year and includes NXT call-ups as well as returns and debuts. Keys is a name that is expected to be amongst the debuts for RAW or SmackDown following WrestleMania.
