Earlier today, the sports analyst’s fellow cast member and behind-the-scenes contributor on The Pat McAfee Show, Kyle “Gump” Cathcart, took to Instagram to share that the album was out. He uploaded multiple pictures of McAfee working on the project.

“The Diary Of A Polarizing Figure AVAILABLE NOW,” Cathcart wrote.

Pat McAfee’s last appearance on WWE programming was at WrestleMania 42, where he accompanied Randy Orton to the ring for his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes. He had claimed that he would never return to the Stamford-based promotion if The Viper failed to secure the win.

McAfee had a terrible outing on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The American Nightmare threw him onto the announce table before Jelly Roll took him out with a massive elbow drop, and he had to be stretchered out. However, he returned and tried to help Orton, only to get floored by the RKO.

Pat McAfee isn’t expected to be back in WWE anytime soon

Last month, Sportskeeda Wrestling exclusively reported that McAfee was done with WWE. A source within the company confirmed that the 39-year-old would not be returning anytime soon.

The whole “leave and never come back” stipulation for the WrestleMania 42 bout was reportedly planned for his exit from the company. McAfee won’t return even as a commentator.

“Pat McAfee is done with WWE. He will likely not be returning to the company anytime soon. While the entire leave and never return gimmick seemed overblown at first, it’s what the company has planned for him. It was a way for him to finish up, and even then, it was because of TKO’s call that he had been involved in the first place. The star is not returning to the announcement desk either, with them happy with Corey Graves and Michael Cole working together. There has been talk of bringing him back for a couple of big shows so he won’t need to be on the road regularly, which was the entire issue, as his schedule had become untenable and he was physically and mentally exhausted. But he’s currently done, and no future dates are in sight. He’s done,” the source said.

Only time will tell if Pat McAfee makes his return to WWE programming and in what capacity.
