Manchester City take on opposition from the UAE as Al Ain are the latest challenge at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola and his players got off to the perfect start on matchday one as goals from Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku dismissed of Wydad AC in Philadelphia, but remain second in the group following Juventus’ nine-goal flurry in their opening two matches.

A win for Manchester City against Al Ain on Sunday night would set up the ultimate first-place showdown on matchday three when the Premier League giants take on Igor Tudor’s Serie A outfit at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Al Ain will be hoping for a much stronger performance this time around having been crushed by Juventus 5-0 on the opening matchday, but were always likely to take on an entirely different City side after Pep Guardiola hinted at making numerous changes in the build-up.

Aside from the suspended Rico Lewis following his straight red card on matchday one, both John Stones and Rodri are not fit enough to start for the club just yet, but are expected to take on game time either on Sunday night or on matchday three of the tournament and beyond.
