Collin Morikawa, Max Homa Among Pros Featured in New Apple TV+ Series, Stick originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
On Wednesday, Apple TV+ released “Stick,” its latest contribution to golf’s growing cultural relevance. The series features some of the PGA Tour’s finest like Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Keegan Bradley and Wyndham Clark.
The 10-episode show stars Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer whose career was prematurely derailed due to an on-course meltdown. Looking for redemption, he backs a young golfer he believes in, Santi.
The Summer release explores grief, growing up and second chances in a feel-good way — just in time for golf season.
Wilson, impressed by the pro golfers’ seemingly natural acting skills, had this to say: “These professional athletes have the ability, because they are performers, to sort of steady themselves and deliver under pressure.”
Wilson was particularly stunned by Wyndham Clark’s effortless performance in a scene he classified as “tricky” for an actor,” as he explained in an interview with Jessica Marksbury.
Including golf veterans like Morikawa, Homa, Bradley and Clark adds a realistic feel for viewers. Combined, they account for an astounding 22 PGA Tour victories combined.

Morikawa even trained co-star Peter Dager, playing Santi, in order to perfect his swing in preparation for the show.
The show’s creator, Jason Keller, was shocked at how comfortable the four guest stars were in front of three cameras rolling simultaneously and a 200-person crew behind them.
With that said, Keller had high praise and new eyes for professional golfers.
“It is a single athlete battling with their own mindset first. Golfers, that’s the first competition they have, is a competition with themselves,” Keller explained in an interview with Blex Media.
