PALM BEACH GARDENS — The Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches is moving up its tee times for Saturday’s third round at PGA National due to thunderstorms forecasted to move into the area in the afternoon.

The first groups will start at 7:28 a.m. and the leaders will tee off at 9:40 a.m. The tournament will send the players out in threesomes off the 1st and 10th tees. The chance of showers is 50 percent at 1 p.m. and there is a better than 60 percent chance of thunderstorms at 5 p.m.

Austin Smotherman leads the tournament after 36 holes at 11-under 131. Smotherman held onto his lead after the opening round by shooting 69 in the second round. Taylor Moore is second at 8-under after matching his opening round 67 on the second day.

A.J. Ewart and Nico Echavarria are tied for third at 7-under.

Some notable tee times: Jupiter’s Shane Lowry, 9:04 a.m. from the No. 1 tee; Jupiter’s Daniel Berger, 8:52 a.m. from the No. 1 tee; Jupiter’s Brooks Koepka 7:52 a.m. from the No. 1 tee; Billy Horschel, 9:04 a.m. from the No. 10 tee.
