Jayne became the new WWE Women’s United States Champion after defeating Tiffany Stratton on last week’s episode of SmackDown. Backstage, Punk crashed the faction’s photoshoot after Jayne’s title-winning moment.

On the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Henley and Reid defeated Paige and Brie Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for the first time.

On Night 1 of SummerSlam on August 1, Fatal Influence defeated the team of The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella) and Paige in a six-woman tag team match.

CM Punk Reflected On His WWE NXT Return

CM Punk returned to WWE NXT after 14 years, competing at a live event where he teamed up with the new WWE NXT Tag Team Champions, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights, against The Vanity Project.

On his Instagram story, Punk reflected on his return to NXT. The Undisputed WWE Champion expressed his gratitude and showed his appreciation to everyone who made his NXT return memorable.

“Thank you to all the fans who came out tonight. You were BEAUTS. Amazing energy. Thank you Petersburg VA! Special thank you to all @wwenxt office and talent for allowing me to come work with you all. My heart is so full. I love this. I am so grateful, and appreciative of everyone’s hard work. What a life!”

CM Punk successfully defended his title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. His next title defense is against Kevin Owens, whom he will face this week on SmackDown. Owens became the No. 1 Contender after returning at SummerSlam.
