Few people have been teased as much about their golf game as NBA legend Charles Barkley has. So when he makes a shot that's even a little impressive, people will notice.

But this was more than a little impressive.

Barkley has been at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament this week and while he was out on the green he took a shot from the fairway. After seemingly hitting the ball well past the hole and towards the rough, the ball began rolling back onto the green, towards the hole and ultimately in for an eagle.

The crowd at Edgewood Tahoe Resort let out a massive applause as Barkley sank what might have been the best golf shot of his entire life.

All across social media the shot has gone viral, with plenty of people praising him for his beautiful shot:

"Probably the golf shot of his life. Nice work Charles!" one user wrote.

"Great shot with just enough spin," wrote another.

"He’s in the top 20 right now. Give him major props for that. His struggles have been well documented," a third remarked.

"His swing looks a lot better than what I remember."

"Good to see his swing isn't as (ugly) as it was. It was hard to watch…"

"That was gonna roll back to his feet if it didn’t hit the pin lol," another joked.

"Charles Barkley for eagle. Read that again. Yes, eagle. At @ACChampionship . Is this the golf apocalypse?"

Many fans have joked that Barkley's swing was downright abominable for years. Even with all of the rounds he plays, it never seemed to improve. 

Something must have finally clicked for Barkley to get it looking like that.

Either that, or he just had one of the luckiest swings of his entire life.

Whichever it is, we're all happy for Barkley finally seeming to find his stride – and his stroke.
