The action is already ramping up at Daytona International Speedway. Bubba Wallace was in the big Stage 1 wreck. The 23XI Racing driver is already locked into the playoffs. So, no big deal. But this wreck started with a little bit of touching down the frontstretch.

Austin Cindric, Noah Gragson, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Bubba Wallace, Austin Hill, Riley Herbst, Zane Smith, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Alex Bowman, and Carson Hocevar were all involved in this wreck. It changes the NASCAR Playoffs battle, too.

After leaving the care center, Wallace spoke to the NBC broadcast. He explained what he saw in the replay.

“Oh, I need to see a replay, I know everything was happening pretty quickly there,” Wallace told Parker Kligerman. “Man, what a um… Here’s a good, good visual of it, sorry. … The hit from the 5 shoved me down there, and it was like I got shoved up by the 22 when the 12 moved up. He was trying to just move up and take a lane, but oh well. Man, I hate it. 22nd to the lead in a short amount of time.”

Bubba Wallace also took the blame. He doesn’t seem bothered by tonight’s misfortunes. That Brickyard 400 win has to have something to do with that.

“I hate that. I’ll take the blame for it, unfortunately,” Wallace continued. “Just a crap deal. Everything was going too good, too early to be all true. So something was bound to happen. I hate that we were involved in it, but hopefully, we can get the 45 in still. So, all in all, we’re locked in. Let’s get focused for Darlington, and I’m okay.”

So, no negativity from Bubba Wallace. When he’s feeling this good going into the playoffs, is he a threat to make a deep run?

This is a developing story…
