Bubba Wallace ran into Carson Hocevar, causing a 12-car pileup in the NASCAR Cup Series Cookout 400 at Martinsville on March 29.

On a restart on Lap 327 with 74 laps to go, Wallace rammed into Hocevar in Turn 4, spinning Hocevar out. The collision appeared to be intentional by Wallace, who was taken out of the race. But after being treated and released from the infield care center told FSI he did not mean to cause the crash.

“I didn’t appreciate the three-wide into one, and then I misjudged the center of the corner and didn’t mean to turn him,” Wallace said.
