A grave of a person potentially involved in pro wrestling has been uncovered in Turkey from 2400 years ago, as per a statement released by the country’s Ministry of Culture.

Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, commented on the discovery, saying that coins depicting pro wrestlers and other artifacts have been found in the tomb. He said this indicated that the buried person was likely involved in professional wrestling.

“Coins with depictions of wrestlers and other artifacts found in the tomb indicate that the person buried here may have been involved in sports, perhaps even a wrestler.”
