Dominik Mysterio was set for an Intercontinental Title match against Penta, having wanted it for some time after losing it. Unfortunately, the star has suffered another injury and will not be able to compete in the match against Penta. He had to be replaced, and instead of Mysterio, it was another star who faced the Intercontinental Champion.
Michael Cole announced the injury on WWE RAW.
“Dominik Mysterio, we have not seen him tonight, and he’s not medically cleared to compete after what happened last Saturday, at AAA.”
The clip showed a moment where El Vikingo threw a chair at Dominik Mysterio and caught him on the face. The match was a complete battle from start to finish, but he was left hurt despite being able to win and retain his title.
It was confirmed by Adam Pearce as well.
As for the Intercontinental Championship match, Dragon Lee answered the challenge to face Penta, but was unable to get the win.
