Booker T is one of the best parts of NXT and loved by fans for his commentary. However, the WWE Legend had a controversial incident at the recent NXT Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. The former World Heavyweight Champion has now issued an apology following the incident.
At Halloween Havoc, Ricky Saints defended his NXT Championship against Trick Williams. The match marked Saints’ first defense of his NXT Championship. After an intense bout, the Absolute succesfully defended his Championship. However, the result of the match left Booker angered and he threw his headset at the end of the main event.
Following the incident, Booker T went on the Reality of Wrestling’s Hall of Fame podcast. During his appearance, he apologized to the NXT Universe for what he did at the show.
“I wanna apologise to the NXT Universe for throwing my headset at the end of the Ricky Saints Trick Williams match…..I was a little upset, I was backing my boy Trick Williams, but Ricky Saints he showed up and went out there and did his job, even though he had the little Xerxes veil going… I just wanted to apologise because that got picked up in the news. Look here, we’ve all got our favourites, it’s just part of the game.” He said. (6:40 onwards)
It’s great to see commentators getting so moved after the result of a match. Fans are excited to see what Shawn Michaels has planned for Saints’ reign as Champion.
Booker T was shocked after WWE released Wes Lee
Wes Lee was one of the most shocking names that WWE let go of recently. He was one of the most talented stars on the NXT roster and was heavily featured on the show’s programming.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T expressed his shock over Lee’s release.
“Wes Lee is a guy that’s highly, highly talented. Wes Lee is a guy that I would have thought would have been safe.”
A lot of fans were also disappointed with the news of Wes Lee’s release. It’ll be interesting to see where he goes next.
