Birmingham City have signed Spanish winger Carlos Vicente from Deportivo Alaves for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract at St. Andrew’s and becomes the Championship club’s fifth new arrival of the January transfer window.

Vicente started his career at Real Zaragoza before joining Alaves from second-tier side Racing Ferrol just over two years ago.
He has made 76 appearances in La Liga, scored 12 goals and contributed nine assists.
This season, he has played 20 times and scored five times, including against Real Madrid in Alaves’ 2-1 defeat in December and in their 2-1 win over Real Betis at the weekend in what turned out to be his final appearance.
Vicente described the chance to move to Blues “really interesting”.
“When I heard about Birmingham, I was really interested in the project here,” he said.

“The opportunity, the project, but also how much they wanted me. That’s really important to me.
“It’s a big challenge to come and get the promotion that the team and the city deserve.
“I’m here to complete this challenge because it is a big motivation for me.”
Vicente follows striker August Priske, and defender Kai Wagner in signing for the club permanently this month in addition to the loan deals for winger Ibrahim Osman and midfielder Jhon Solis.
