Each year, Covers tracks the largest wagers on the Super Bowl right up until game time.

Drake is back to betting on the Super Bowl, and he’s backing his namesake.

The rapper and noted sports bettor revealed on Instagram that he put down $1 million on Drake Maye and the New England Patriots to win Sunday’s Super Bowl, via Stake.

Drake did not bet on Super Bowl LIX between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, a game that featured a performance by his rival Kendrick Lamar at halftime.

The year prior, he put $1.1 million on the Chiefs to defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

With Drake’s wager added to the ledger, there are now five bets of at least $1 million on Super Bowl LX.

A number of six- and five-figure bets are now flooding in to sportsbooks on Super Bowl LX, just hours away from kickoff.

Caesars informed Covers that the sportsbook took a $102,000 bet on the Seattle Seahawks on the moneyline at -230 odds. That bet would win $44,347 if the Hawks lift the Lombardi Trophy.

It follows a popular refrain in which bettors are willing to take Seattle on the moneyline, despite the reduced return. Three of the 10 biggest bets publicly shared by sportsbooks are on the Seahawks to win outright.

However, on Saturday afternoon, Caesars also took bets of $75,000 and $50,000 on the New England Patriots to cover the +4.5 spread.

Another Caesars bettor is willing to risk $142,000 on a Patriots alt line of +14.5 at -526 odds. If New England isn’t beaten by 15 or more points, that customer stands to win $26,996.

On Friday, Caesars received a $100,000 wager on the Patriots moneyline at +191 odds. DraftKings also received a $100,000 bet on the Patriots moneyline, at slightly longer odds of +195.

Feb. 6

It’s not a million dollars, but it’s close.

A $500,000 wager on Super Bowl LX has come in, and this time, it’s on an alt line.

The Hard Rock Bet customer is confident the Seattle Seahawks will defeat the New England Patriots by more than seven points on Sunday.

The NFC champions are currently -4.5 favorites at most sportsbooks. However, three of the biggest bets on this game are backing the underdog Patriots.

Feb. 5

One of the biggest bets yet on Super Bowl LX will be settled before the game’s opening kickoff.

A bettor out of Iowa has placed $100,000 on the Super Bowl coin toss to land on tails.

The Caesars customer seems to believe tails never fails, taking the -103 coin toss odds on the 50/50 proposition.

This ranks as the eighth-biggest bet, to this point, on any component of the Big Game.

Tails was the correct outcome in last year’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. The toss has landed on tails in two of the last three Super Bowls.

A new $1-million Super Bowl bet has emerged.

A customer at Hard Rock Bet in Florida has placed a million-dollar wager on the Seahawks to win Super Bowl LX. The bettor stands to win $434,782 as the Seahawks are a pretty decisive favorite, carrying -230 moneyline odds.

The wager comes four days from Super Bowl LX, and is now the fourth bet of at least $1 million on the game.

The customer, identified by Hard Rock Bet, is Florida attorney Dan Newlin. If the bet hits, he intends to donate his winnings to pediatric cancer research.

Another $725,000 wager came in on the Patriots, according to Ben Fawkes of Yahoo Sports. The bettor who placed a $1.1-million hedge on the Patriots at Circa against his Seahawks futures laid down another hedge at BetMGM.

Feb. 3

We’ve learned a bit more about the motivation for one of the million-dollar bets on Super Bowl LX.

Circa Sports in Las Vegas shared with Covers that the customer who put $1.1 million on the Patriots to win Sunday’s game is doing so as a hedge against a valuable Seahawks futures ticket.

That customer has already cashed $50,000 bets on the Seahawks to make the playoffs, win the NFC West, and win the NFC. If the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, the bettor stands to win $3.75 million.

With the money the bettor has already won on the three futures tickets, the individual has opted to place a $1.1-million hedge on the Patriots at +188 odds, a bet that would return $2 million in profit.

“The player is gonna take advantage and monetize his bets,” Mike Palm, vice president of operations at Circa, The D, and The Golden Gate, told Covers. “He made some really good futures bets.”

We’ve got a surprise entry into the $1-million Super Bowl bet club: NBA star Devin Booker.

An expert troll, the Phoenix Suns guard placed a $1-million wager on the Seahawks to cover the spread in Super Bowl LX.

Booker’s bet comes in response to Kendall Jenner’s viral Super Bowl commercial, in which she pokes fun at her dating history and the “Kardashian Kurse.”

Just take a look at their back and forth on Instagram:

Regardless of how we’ve arrived there, Booker’s bet now ranks as the third biggest on the Super Bowl with more than a week to go until the game.

Mattress Mack is back!

The famed Houston-area furniture store owner and sports bettor has gone public with his Super Bowl bet, and it’s the biggest one yet on the Big Game.

Jim McIngvale bet $2 million on the AFC to win Super Bowl LX at Caesars Sportsbook, and he did so during conference championship weekend, according to ESPN’s David Purdum.

The wager surpasses a $1.1-million moneyline bet on the Patriots, placed at Circa on Monday, as the biggest bet so far ahead of kickoff on Feb. 8.

As he’s known to do, McIngvale is tying his sports bet with a promotion at his Gallery Furniture store. Customers who spend a certain amount at the store will get their money back if the Patriots win the Super Bowl.

Mattress Mack didn’t bet on the Super Bowl last year as he was recovering from heart surgery, according to ESPN. And he talked himself out of betting on the Kansas City Chiefs the prior season.

He’s back now, though, making the type of bets you might see in a movie.

Jan. 27

Add Dave Portnoy to the list of those carrying a big Super Bowl ticket.

The Barstool Sports founder placed a $50,000 bet on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl when their odds were +3,500. If the Patriots triumph over the Seahawks at Super Bowl LX, Portnoy stands to win $1.75 million.

It’s among the biggest bets ahead of next Sunday’s game.

Judging by the Patriots’ odds, via Sports Odds History, the bet was likely placed prior to Week 8. New England was 5-2 at the time and coming off its fourth straight victory before a game against the Cleveland Browns. Their odds to win the Super Bowl were at +3,500.

The Patriots went on to lose just one more game during the regular season – Week 15 versus Buffalo – and captured the AFC title as the No. 2 seed.

Jan. 26

The Super Bowl matchup is set, and big bets are rolling in.

The Seahawks and Patriots will meet in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.

Seattle can be found as a -4.5 or -5 favorite depending on the sportsbook after it outgunned the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game.

The Patriots had to battle elements and a backup quarterback to emerge with a 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos in the AFC title game.

Circa reported on Monday afternoon that it has already taken a $1.1-million wager on the contest.

This is a significant development, as there weren’t any $1 million-plus bets placed on last year’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. (See chart below for more.)

That’s not the only big bet placed mere hours after this year’s Super Bowl matchup was set. Caesars Sportsbook took a number of five-figure positions.

“Within seconds of opening odds, we accepted a $36,000 wager on the Seahawks -4.5, and a $55,000 wager on New England +4.5,” said Caesars head of football Joey Feazel. “Action will be furious for the next two weeks as we have a marquee matchup.”

And we’ll be sure to track all of that furious action here with the biggest bets on the big game.

One notable bet has already cashed after the Super Bowl matchup was determined.

A bettor at BetMGM made a $50,000 bet in the preseason on the Seahawks to win the NFC at +2,800, according to Ben Fawkes of Yahoo Sports. That bettor has won $1.4 million.

That same bettor will win an additional $3 million if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl with a $50,000 wager on a +6,000 ticket.

BetMGM also took a $30,000 futures bet on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. The bettor placed the bet at +2,200 odds and would win $660,000 if the Patriots emerge victorious.

Back at Circa, a customer placed a Super Bowl exacta on the Patriots to defeat the Seahawks, paying $100 for a ticket that could net $310,000.

Jan. 20

The field is now down to four.

Super Bowl LX will feature either the Seattle Seahawks or Los Angeles Rams against the Denver Broncos or New England Patriots.

The divisional-round results were encouraging for sportsbooks. BetMGM noted that many long-shot futures bets were counting on the Chicago Bears to raise the Lombardi Trophy.

“The Seahawks are the favorites to win the Super Bowl and the biggest remaining liability,” BetMGM trading manager Halvor Egeland said after the divisional round. “A Rams-Patriots Super Bowl matchup would be the best outcome for the futures book.”

The sportsbook is counting on the Patriots because there remain a number of notable futures tickets pending on the Broncos.

That includes a $100,000 wager on the Broncos to win the Super Bowl at odds of +900, another $100,000 bet on Denver to win the AFC at +350, and bets of $75,000 and $50,000 on the Broncos to win their conference.

Unfortunately for those ticket holders, they’ll be counting on backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham to lead an upset of the Patriots. Starting quarterback Bo Nix fractured his ankle late in the divisional-round win over the Buffalo Bills.

Jan. 13

Super Bowl LX is quickly approaching.

The eight remaining teams in the playoff field will battle in the divisional round this coming weekend. We’re still weeks away from learning which two teams will compete at Levi’s Stadium for the Lombardi Trophy, but there are many interested bettors with live futures tickets.

Among the notable bets made before or during the season, a $100,000 wager on the Denver Broncos to win the Super Bowl at +900 odds at BetMGM is very much alive. The Broncos earned the top seed in the AFC and would net that bettor a $900,000 payout if they win it all.

BetMGM also reported taking a $100,000 and $75,000 wager on the Broncos to win the AFC championship this season, both at +350 odds.

However, the biggest payout would come to a BetMGM bettor who placed $50,000 on the Chicago Bears to win Super Bowl LX, at +6,600 odds. That would net a $3.3-million windfall.

“The Bears’ epic comeback against the Packers was the best result of Wild Card Weekend for customers. Chicago’s odds to win the Super Bowl continue to shorten and the Bears are the biggest remaining liability to lift the Lombardi Trophy,” BetMGM senior trading manager Tristan Davis said.

The Super Bowl MVP market has been open for a couple of weeks now and has been drawing plenty of interest. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been top of mind with bettors.

At BetMGM, Allen is drawing the highest ticket percentage (8.3%) and highest handle (14.3%). He’s the second-biggest liability at the sportsbook, behind Saquon Barkley of the recently eliminated Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Allen led the Bills past the Jacksonville Jaguars with a three-touchdown performance in the wild-card round, his Super Bowl MVP odds moved from +1,100 to +700 at BetMGM.

Here are the biggest bets made on last year’s Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
