The 39-year-old pointed out that she had taken the Women’s Intercontinental Title to more PLEs than any other champion. She further fired shots at Jade Cargill by stating that it did not take her a hundred days to have her first title defense. Lynch added that nobody was talking about any of it because of her greatness.
“The other thing that nobody’s talking about as well is just how great of a champion I have been. How amazing it is to have me back as champion after Moody Maxxine tried to rob it, and AJ Lee caused that, and how I have made my title visible on more pay-per-views than any other champion, any other champion in the length of time that I’ve held it, nobody’s talking about that. Nobody’s talking about the fact that it didn’t take me a hundred days to defend my title. Now did it? No, no, because I’m great. And that’s all that needs to be said about that,” Lynch said.

For those unaware, Jade Cargill won the WWE Women’s Championship by defeating Tiffany Stratton on the November 1, 2025, edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Storm defended her title for the very first time last week on SmackDown, more than a hundred days after winning the gold. She defeated Jordynne Grace in an engaging contest to retain the title.
Becky Lynch will defend her title against an arch-rival at WWE Elimination Chamber
AJ Lee returned to WWE on the September 5, 2025, edition of Friday Night SmackDown to assist her husband, CM Punk, in his rivalry with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
After competing against each other in a Mixed Tag Team Match and the 2025 Women’s War Games Match, Lynch and Lee will face each other one-on-one for the first time at WWE Elimination Chamber. In one of the two championship matches announced for the premium live event thus far, AJ Lee will challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Only time will tell if AJ Lee can dethrone Becky Lynch to win her first title in over a decade.
