According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona defenders Ronald Araujo and Gerard Martin are beginning to attract significant interest from clubs across Europe.
However, despite the growing attention, neither player is currently considering a departure from Barcelona.

In Araujo’s case, interest is emerging from the Premier League. It is said that Liverpool are monitoring the situation closely, viewing the Uruguayan defender as a potential addition to strengthen their backline.
The English club is believed to be encouraged by his slightly reduced role under Hansi Flick, which has opened the door, at least in theory, for a possible approach.
Liverpool are ready to bid
Reports suggest that Liverpool could be willing to table an offer in the region of €35 million for the Uruguayan.
Araujo remains a highly valued defender, but his recent role in the squad has led some clubs to believe a deal could be feasible.

It is said that interest in the 27-year-old is not limited to England, as Bayern Munich and Inter Milan have also been linked with him at various points this season.

However, Barcelona’s position, and more importantly, the player’s wish, make any transfer unlikely.
Araujo signed a contract renewal in January 2025, extending his stay until June 2031, and he does not plan to dishonour that agreement.
What about Gerard Martin?
A similar situation applies to Gerard Martin, who has also caught the attention of clubs abroad.

AC Milan are reportedly keeping a close eye on the defender, particularly impressed by his development this season.
Under Flick, Gerard has undergone a tactical transformation, shifting into a left-sided centre-back role after initially being considered as a potential alternative to Alejandro Balde at full-back.
Despite the external interest, the defender has no intention of entertaining offers and remains fully focused on continuing his progress at Barcelona.
