Rory McIlroy won The Masters for the second time on Sunday and thankfully for him, it wasn’t as hair-raising as his first one.
McIlroy posted a final round 71 to win The Masters for a second consecutive year by a single stroke from Scottie Scheffler.

However, golf fans were not happy one little bit with the TV coverage on the last hole of the Northern Irishman’s round.
McIlroy stood on the 18th tee of the final round of The Masters with a two-shot lead but proceeded to flare his drive out to the right into the trees.

However, he got a huge break when his ball went far enough right to give him somewhat of a line into the green.
What happened next, though, stunned golf fans watching on their TVs.
Angry golf fans annoyed with ‘horrible’ TV coverage on Rory McIlroy’s final hole of The Masters
Golf fans were shocked when the cameras failed to pick up McIlroy’s ball flight on his second shot.

The same happened with Cameron Young‘s approach into the green as well.
And fans took to social media in their numbers to criticize the broadcast.

“CBS video coverage of shots has been horrendous this year. No idea what’s happening on the 18th hole, unreal,“ one fan said.
While another was left genuinely stunned, saying: “The most important shot of the tournament and they completely miss it.”
Many other golf fans echoed a similar sentiment, with comments stating: “This is the worst broadcast I’ve ever seen for The Masters,“ and, “This Masters coverage has been horrible! How do we not have a camera on Rory’s ball on 18?!!!!! Jesus.“
And the comments kept coming.

One fan fumed: “In today’s world of technology, how does CBS not know where either Rory’s or Cam’s ball is on the 18th hole of The Masters.“
Meanwhile, another said: “Worst camerawork in the history of golf on the 72nd hole of The Masters. Incredible work CBS.“
Masters coverage must improve moving forward
“Imagine the last two iron shots of the masters on tv and they can’t even show where the ball,“ one fan moaned.
While another labelled the TV coverage as ‘brutal’: “The Masters broadcast has been especially bad this year. Can’t track balls to save their lives. Just brutal.“
I have to agree with every single fan that has commented on the coverage above.

The entire Masters broadcast was particularly poor and it has to be something that the TV companies work on moving forward.
