Alexa Bliss competed on WWE SmackDown tonight. She picked up an out of character win.
Alexa Bliss has been doing well for herself after she formed a tag team with Charlotte Flair. Their unique dynamic has made for some entertaining moments on screen.
Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Bliss was set to face off against Nia Jax in a singles match. Bliss and Jax have a lot of history against each other. In fact, it was Bliss who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia several years ago. Being the bigger opponent, Nia Jax was able to dominate most of the match. Towards the closing moments of the match, Nia was about to hit Bliss with the Annihilator when Charlotte Flair got on the apron and distracted the former WWE Women’s Champion. This allowed Bliss to pick up the win. This was a bit out of character for Alexa since she is a babyface.
Alexa Bliss revealed who was behind her pairing with Charlotte Flair
While Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have had successful singles careers, they came together earlier this year and formed a tag team. Since then, they have been quite successful and even won the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Speaking on In The Kliq podcast, Alexa revealed that she pitched the idea to WWE creative to team with Charlotte Flair.
“It’s been so fun working with Charlotte. This was something that came about very randomly. We were talking to creative, and I kinda like threw it out there. They gave me a list of names of people who were in this little bubble of needing storylines, and I was like, ‘What about Charlotte? We have this long past, that could be a fun dynamic, these two people who don’t normally get along with other people or have success with other people, getting stuck together,” she said.
It will be interesting to see who will be able to dethrone Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
