Alex Bowman won’t be returning to the No. 48 car this weekend. Bowman has been ruled out of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This is the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s second missed race since he was disposed with vertigo. So, what is the latest on Bowman’s health ahead of Las Vegas?

Bowman is working closely with doctors toward being medically cleared, but he is still experiencing some lingering symptoms from his vertigo, as said by Hendrick Motorsports general manager Jeff Andrews in a press release. Justin Allgaier, a driver of JR Motorsports in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, will replace Bowman in the No. 48 car.

As of Friday, March 13, Bowman does not have a timetable for his return to the No. 48 car for Hendrick Motorsports. The driver of the No. 48 car is likely to be 100-plus points behind the Chase bubble after Las Vegas; however, NASCAR is on the back burner. The focus is Bowman feeling better, and hopefully, that comes soon.
