In January 2026, McIntyre locked horns with Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. During this bout, Jacob Fatu made his shocking return to TV and went straight after Drew. However, he also attacked Rhodes and unknowingly helped McIntyre escape the Steel Cage to win the title. So, it isn’t clear who attacked him in October 2025.

Four months have passed since the assault, and WWE still hasn’t revealed the identity of Fatu’s attacker. It seems like the Triple H-led creative team has completely forgotten about this storyline.

Jacob Fatu revealed he underwent dental surgery amid his WWE absence

During a recent edition of Busted Open, Jacob Fatu revealed that he had to get 12 teeth pulled out from his mouth and ended up getting 11 teeth removed in a dental procedure.

“You know, when I was off, my kids were off around, it was around the holidays. Got out October, November, December, New Year’s. It was being home with them (…) It was being home on the couch. I mean 11 teeth. I was supposed to get 12 teeth. I got 11 teeth pulled out in the back. So got 11 teeth,” he added.

It remains to be seen if the Triple H-led creative team will reveal the identity of Jacob Fatu’s mystery attacker anytime soon.
