AC Milan have identified Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta and Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson as potential striker targets for the summer, claims Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto.
The Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-forward as manager Massimiliano Allegri looks to build a formidable attacking unit heading into the new season.
Santiago Gimenez is the only reliable No.9 in the squad, while Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic have left Milan.
Alvaro Morata is also closing in on a move to fellow Serie A rivals Como after spending the second half of the last season on loan at Galatasaray.
Gimenez hasn’t made a telling impact since his transfer from Feyenoord. Milan want to recruit a top-class striker to compete with the Mexican international.
Rossoneri have enquired about the possibility of signing Jackson, who has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro have jeopardised the position of the Senegalese striker, who bagged 13 goals and six assists last season, including the strike in the Europa Conference League final victory.
The Blues would only consider Jackson’s sale for a considerable offer, while the former Villarreal star is determined to continue his progress with the Premier League giants.
Palace striker Mateta has also emerged as Milan’s potential target, but their interest is far from concrete.

📞 There was a direct enquiry with the player’s entourage. No talks with Palace yet — just an idea being evaluated internally.

The French attacker has rejuvenated himself at Palace after hitting a stellar goal-scoring form over the last couple of seasons.
The 28-year-old bagged 17 goals and six assists last term and led Palace to the historic FA Cup glory.
Oliver Glasner’s side are working on a new deal for Mateta to fend off the suitors. His current contract expires in 2027.
Milan are also keeping tabs on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who will cost around €30 million.
