Paris Saint-Germain are facing attacking difficulties this season, especially in the UEFA Champions League, where goals have been hard to come by under Luis Enrique.

Earlier this year, PSG were linked with Liverpool’s talented winger Luis Díaz, but those rumors never gained much momentum. Now, with their ongoing struggles in attack, the club might look to reignite their interest in the Colombian.

Díaz, who is under contract with Liverpool until 2027, is said to be in talks for an extension. However, those negotiations seem to have stalled, leaving the door open for a potential transfer if an agreement isn’t reached.

Colombian outlet Antena2 has reported that contract disputes could lead Díaz to consider other options. While PSG are reportedly keeping an eye on him, it’s still believed that Barcelona see him as part of their long-term plans.

Luis Díaz transfer race appears to be between two teams

Fichajes reports that Barcelona and PSG will be two clubs keen on securing Díaz next summer. While Barcelona had shown interest in Díaz before, their financial situation made a move difficult.

However, with ongoing economic restructuring, the club seriously consider strengthening their attack with him, particularly in the left-wing position.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick sees Díaz as a vital part of his system, and sporting director Deco also views him as an ideal option for the near future. Meanwhile, PSG have also set its sights on the talented player, looking to add more depth to their attack.

However, it seems that Barcelona remains Díaz’s preferred destination. This information comes after Antena2 previously reported that Barcelona and PSG were the first clubs to show interest, with both willing to offer up to €80 million for the Colombian striker.

Recently, Antena2 also revealed that AC Milan have joined the race, with the Rossoneri keen to sign a world-class player who can be a game-changer for the team, and the Colombian is one of their top targets.
