Last night during the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan directly called out at WWE for not believing in AEW’s success.

Tony Khan responds to WWE not believing AEW All Out would do well

Last night was the AEW All Out pay-per-view. The event took place in Chicago. It was the same date and same location as WWE’s Worlds Collide special event. Since WWE had their event on the same date and in the same place, many speculated that the Stamford-based promotion is fighting to derail the success of the Jacksonville-based promotion. During the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan addressed reports that mentioned that the Stamford-based promotion was surprised by seeing the success of the Jacksonville-based promotion.

“I was kind of surprised they would say that because we’ve done very, very well. AEW’s having an incredible year. We were Sports Illustrated’s pro wrestling promotion of the year. Why would they be surprised that we would sell out? We’ve sold this arena out many times, and AEW is having a fantastic year. I think anybody underestimating AEW would be making a mistake. AEW continues to defy the odds and succeed. If AEW has ever been on the mat, every single time we’ve gotten up and fought,” Tony Khan said. [H/T WrestlingInc]

Adding to this, Tony Khan also mentioned that this has been a highly successful year for the company. He mentioned that while 2025 was a great year for the company, 2026 has been a much better and more financially successful year.
