Moments ago, WWE ring announcer Mike Rome also posted a picture of himself standing alongside Rick. He noted an emotional message in the caption. Alexa Bliss quote-tweeted the post and sent her condolences.

“RIP Rick 🖤,” Bliss wrote.

Alexa Bliss made a major revelation about her pairing with Charlotte Flair

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair formed an unexpected alliance last year. The two began interacting backstage following WrestleMania 41 and eventually became a tag team. They also held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for a hundred days before losing it to The Kabuki Warriors.

During a recent appearance on the Busted Open podcast, The Goddess revealed that forming an alliance with Charlotte Flair was entirely her idea. Bliss then recalled pitching the idea to the creative team. The 35-year-old further pointed out how their alliance helped The Queen connect with the fans.

“When I first pitched for us to be together, so I was like, ‘We’ve always been opposite of each other, right? We’ve both been against each other. You’ve never seen us team together, and I think that would be a really cool dynamic,’ and they’re like, ‘Oh man, she has all this heat,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, but there’s a way to do it.’ I was like, ‘There is a way to do it,’ and because I know her and I know how amazing she is and how talented she is, I think people need to see that she’s finally kind of allowed herself to step into her own and be this perfect mix of Charlotte that we see on TV and the Charlotte that we don’t see behind the scenes, and I think she’s such a nice and genuine person that it’s coming out in her work now, and the fans are like, ‘Yes! This is the version of you we’ve wanted to see,'” Bliss said.

Bliss and Flair have formed another ally on Friday Night SmackDown in the form of former NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley.
