He had cited being stuck and wanted to explore other opportunities in wrestling. But now, he sees things differently. In an interview with TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring, Cinta de Oro talked about the opportunities for Mexican and Latin wrestlers, saying that’s all he has ever wanted for the new generation.

He was then asked if he would be open to playing Sin Cara again if WWE called him for the role. Cinta de Oro said he is a lot more mature than before and pointed to his growing experience as a person.

“I mean, I think I’ve gotten more mature now. When you’re younger, you do a lot of decisions for your emotions. I get that as you get older, as your kids get older and you’re in time, you’re out of that big monster, you realize a lot of things. For me, I wouldn’t mind coming back,” he said.

There is certainly some unfinished business for the luchador, as he said he would love to give the character another shot.

“If they would ask me or we would talk, ‘Hey, you want to portray Sin Cara again?’ I would love to do that definitely again and give it another shot,” he added.

Cinta de Oro had a unique rivalry in WWE

Cinta de Oro was called up to the main roster by WWE in 2011 to take over the character of Sin Cara, initially portrayed by Luis Urive, aka Mistico.

Later, when the original Sin Cara returned, it led to a feud between the two masked wrestlers. De Oro then started competing in black attire to differentiate himself from the original Sin Cara and was known as Sin Cara Negro.

They faced each other at the Hell in a Cell event in 2011, which the original Sin Cara won. The feud continued with a Mask vs. Mask match on SmackDown, where Sin Cara Azul was victorious once again.
