“I don’t know, Tater. I think you were smart to ask Nick. We had a little fire in the parking lot last night and couldn’t risk you, the Mrs., or your tots getting twice baked. I’ll be here all week. (Nick would love to see you all get mashed though.)” wrote Pearce.

Aldis attempted to resign as SmackDown GM following his loss to Gunther at SummerSlam, but Triple H decided to reinstate the former NWA star instead.

Nick Aldis discusses his return to the ring at WWE SummerSlam

Wrestling veteran Nick Aldis commented on his return to action at WWE SummerSlam and admitted that he was tired during the match.

Speaking on the SummerSlam Recap Show with Sam Roberts, Aldis shared that he trained as hard as he could for his return to the ring, but there was nothing that could have prepared him for an actual match.

“God, I was so blown. Everyone talks about this and says there’s nothing that replicates working in the ring, and it really is true. I’ve been doing the most intense conditioning workouts for the last couple of weeks to get ready, and I’ve genuinely never trained that hard in my whole life. Still, just four minutes in, I was like, ‘Oh my God.’” [H/T: ITR Wrestling]

Even in defeat, Nick Aldis looked GREAT in the ring. Please give us more of him. #Summerslam

It will be interesting to see if Adam Pearce ever decides to return to the ring on WWE television.
