John Cena Sr. posted heartbreaking news on social media

Unlike his son, John Cena Sr. didn’t have a wrestling career in WWE. However, he has made a few on-screen appearances with his son in the global juggernaut. He has also worked as a commentator and manager on the Independent Circuit.

The 82-year-old recently took to social media to reveal that his girlfriend’s son, Tommy, has been diagnosed with a very rare case of ALS. Cena Sr. asked fans to show love and support to Tommy and pray for him.

“I very rarely ask for something. Today, I am asking you all for prayers. My girlfriend’s son, age 42 was just diagnosed with a very rare case of ALS. I am asking you all for your prayers for him. Thank you, his name is Tommy. Thank you all for your prayers.”

Hurricane Helms from WWE reacted to the post from John Cena Sr. as the former champion sent love and prayers to Tommy.

Aside from Tommy, AEW Star Rebel Tanea was also diagnosed with terminal ALS earlier this year. The female star has been spreading awareness about ALS for the last few months, and many from the pro wrestling industry have shown support for her. AEW will host a special edition of Dynamite titled Rebel Heart to honor the female star.
