During a recent appearance on the Busted Open Podcast, the 42-year-old star talked about being angry on SmackDown last week. She explained that she is tired of being seen as a reliable hand but never as the main woman in the division.

“I’m kind of getting sick and tired of always being the reliable big girl. Why don’t you make me that girl? I’ve been working my a** off for over a decade. I’ve changed my character. I’ve changed my body. I changed the way I move in the ring. You know, I can get on the mic and cut you a promo. Why can’t it be me?” she said.

Jax said she is tired of being disrespected and said she has been overlooked.

“So, I’m sick and tired of being disrespected, and I keep getting disrespected, and you know, every time I turn around, I freaking have somebody trying to screw me over, and then I just get looked over, and it’s like, ‘Oh, hey, let me just put her in, and she’ll help out somebody else.’ Yeah, I have no problem, but why can’t I be the girl?” she added.

Nia Jax was robbed of a WWE Championship opportunity twice

Following Rhea Ripley’s injury, a five-woman Ladder match was announced for SummerSlam to crown an Interim WWE Women’s Champion.

Nia Jax faced Jade Cargill in the qualifying match on the July 17 episode of WWE SmackDown. However, Charlotte Flair came out to attack Cargill during the match, leading to a disqualification that handed Cargill the win.

The Irresistible Force received a second chance to qualify against The Queen the following week. But on this occasion, Cargill, alongside Michin and B-Fab, stormed to the ring to attack Flair.

As a result, the referee was forced to call for the bell, handing Flair a DQ win and once again leaving Nia Jax frustrated.
