At SummerSlam 2026 Night Two, Master Gable and Cero Miedo squared off in a singles match for the Intercontinental Championship. At the end of a back-and-forth contest, Chad Gable defeated the masked luchador to win his first singles title on the main roster.

Interestingly, the win came in the 40-year-old’s home state, Minnesota. Gable’s family was also in attendance for the career-defining victory. Following his triumph, Gable delivered a short promo thanking his supporters. The RAW Superstar’s wife and kids joined him in the ring to celebrate his well-deserved Intercontinental Championship win.

On Instagram, Gable recently shared a photo of himself and his son in the ring at SummerSlam. The WWE Intercontinental Champion’s son was sporting gear inspired by his in-ring attire for The Biggest Party of the Summer. He also sent the following message in the caption:

“For all the right reasons…”

Gable’s emotional post garnered reactions from many pro wrestling personalities. Major WWE Superstars, such as Finn Balor, Bayley, Matt Cardona, Dragon Lee, and Shawn Spears, commented on the photo. AEW star Bobby Lashley also celebrated the former Alpha Academy leader’s win.

Chad Gable teamed up with his SummerSlam opponent on WWE RAW

Chad Gable made his first appearance as Intercontinental Champion on this week’s WWE RAW. He was showered with “You deserve it!” chants when he made his way to the ring. Gable delivered a passionate promo thanking his fans and Penta.

Cero Miedo and Gable were interrupted by Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. The Judgment Day staked their claim to the Intercontinental Championship. Dominik Mysterio also claimed that he could easily beat Gable for the gold.

The promo battle led to a tag team match pitting Gable and Penta against The Judgment Day. In the end, Master Gable hit a Chaos Theory on “Dirty” Dom to secure the win for his side.
