Back in 2023, Nick was an active performer wrestling over indies. His last match was an ACW Bluegrass Con Title Five-Way Match, in which he lost. Weeks after that, he was brought to WWE, being appointed as the new SmackDown General Manager.

Nick Aldis is no longer the General Manager of SmackDown

With SmackDown General Manager being in a match at SummerSlam, the WWE hierarchy has undergone a major shakeup. Nick Aldis temporarily relinquished his position as GM to step into the ring against Gunther in a singles match at SummerSlam.

During the contract signing officiated by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, it was confirmed that Pearce will temporarily oversee authority duties for both brands moving forward.
