According to a recent report by WrestleVotes on Fightful, Chad Gable and Penta will face off in the first hour of SummerSlam. If that is indeed the case, fans will be able to see an intense match to start off the PLE.

Chad Gable has high hopes for himself in his WWE run

According to Chad Gable, he has proven himself to be talented enough to be given a title shot at one of the top titles in the Stamford-based promotion.

Speaking on The Hot Tag, Gable stated that he wants to continue his momentum to reach the top of the totem pole.

“I’ve made it very clear in the past that I’m capable of more than that. I think what the mask vs. mask match did was show the world that those weren’t just words, I’m now backing them up. My intention going forward is to continue to do that and prove that I’m not just going to want to hold singles championships going forward. That’s a goal, but to be the guy. To hold the World Championship, to hold the WWE Championship. I’m capable of that. I know it, and I think people now know it, and the right people now know it. But it’s also on me to continue this momentum and carry it forward,” he said.

For now, only time will tell how succesful Chad Gable will be in his endeavour.
