With SummerSlam just around the corner and WWE having the opportunity to fill out another two-night card, it would be good to see some major stars who missed out at the Showcase of the Immortals in action at the Biggest Party of the Summer. In this article, we look at 5 such wrestlers who need to feature at SummerSlam.

#5. WWE United States Champion Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton returned to WWE earlier this year after rehabilitating an injury. She soon became the Women’s United States Champion, a belt she currently holds. Stratton was part of the Elimination Chamber match at the eponymous PLE, which Rhea Ripley eventually won. Then-WWE Champion Jade Cargill even mentioned in an interview that she was surprised Ripley won and not Stratton.

To Stratton’s dismay, she was left to face Giulia on SmackDown a night before WrestleMania 42. But now that she has the US Title and can likely feud with multiple women in her bracket at the moment, ranging from Jade Cargill to enemy-turned-friend Chelsea Green, it’s unlikely that she would miss out on SummerSlam.

#4. Chad Gable

Chad Gable is now back to playing himself in WWE after a long run as the Original El Grande Ameriano Luchador character. Around WrestleMania season, Gable was building up a mask vs. mask match on AAA Worldwide against the other El Grande Americano, Ludwig Kaiser. Gable, Kaiser, and other luchadors were regularly on TV, but couldn’t secure a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card.

Now, after losing the mask vs. mask match and being unmasked at the end of it as per the stipulation, Gable can feud with other wrestlers. It was recently reported that WWE is planning a feud between him and Sami Zayn, who recently lost his WWE title to CM Punk, for SummerSlam. Having Gable feature at SummerSlam now that he is over with the fans would be a good call by the company.

#3. The Street Profits

The Street Profits returned to WWE TV and immediately made a huge impact. They feuded with the Vision, especially Logan Paul and Austin Theory, who were Tag Team Champions at the time of the Profits’ return, and eventually managed to win the titles a couple of weeks ago by defeating Theory and Bron Breakker, who was filling in for an injured Logan Paul.

The Profits have lost the gold now, though, as the titles changed hands once again this past Monday on RAW when the Vision received an unlikely assist from Maxxine Dupri, who has now officially joined the faction and is now Austin Theory’s on- screen girlfriend.

The Street Profits might go back for the gold or implode as a team. Either way, an appearance at SummerSlam is a must for these talented stars.

#2. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker suffered a hernia following the Royal Rumble, which meant WWE had to pivot multiple times in plans they had for the Unpredictable Badass at WrestleMania 42. Breakker did make it to the show, but only to spear Seth Rollins and kickstart a rivalry that was delayed by both men being injured at different points in time.

Breakker is now one-half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside Austin Theory, and they are sure to have challengers for SummerSlam chasing their titles. It could be the Street Profits looking for a rematch or another tag team, either way, Breakker is a must-have on the SummerSlam card as he is one of the company’s hottest rising stars at the moment.

#1. Carmelo Hayes

Perhaps the only man fans felt was robbed of his spot at the Show of Shows is Carmelo Hayes. Hayes won the United States Title by defeating Ilja Dragunov in an open challenge and was on a good run with the title. However, things would change quickly for the young star when Sami Zayn took the title off him courtesy of some unintentional help from Trick Williams.

Zayn then faced Williams at WrestleMania 42 as the United States Champion and lost on ‘Mania night. This effectively put Hayes out of the picture, and although he has shared a couple of segments with Williams, his old rival from NXT, a proper feud needs to be had between the two men for SummerSlam, and if not, Hayes has to feature in some capacity, as fans are sure to grow impatient with WWE if he doesn’t.

It would be interesting to see in what ways the above stars could feature at SummerSlam, if they do.
