Sami Zayn stunned the WWE Universe at Night of Champions last Saturday by defeating Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a triple threat match to win his first-ever WWE Championship. The event was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was especially special for Zayn as he is a Canadian star of Syrian descent.
After the match, WWE MENA caught up with Zayn and did an interview with him in Arabic. An Emotional Zayn was at a loss for words and revealed that he had thought his chance of becoming WWE Champion had passed him by. And now that he has done it, he said he hopes his victory means something in the Arab and Islamic world, giving kids today hope for achieving their dreams.
