Adam Pearce planning Rey Mysterio dream match

After a hiatus earlier this year, Rey Mysterio has returned to action. He competed in the six-man ladder match for the Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania 42 and continues to show up in the ring on RAW.

This week on the flagship show, he teamed up with Dragon Lee to defeat Rusev and Ethan Page in a tag team match. The contest ended when Mysterio hit a 619 on Page for the final pinfall.

During the show, Penta was seen having a backstage conversation with general manager Adam Pearce. Pearce informed Penta that he was planning to have a huge Intercontinental championship match between him and Mysterio in the near future. Although he didn’t share an exact date, it is something to look forward to.

Mysterio has been a two-time Intercontinental champion, having last won the title in 2009 in a Title vs. Mask match.
