PWInsider recently reported that WWE had announced that its employees would receive the week of July 4 off. The decision will allow the company’s workers to celebrate the holiday with their families and friends. Moreover, the superstars and crew members needed for the doubleheader on June 29 would receive a compensatory day off on a different date.

The tickets for the doubleheader in Atlantic City went on sale on May 15, 2026. Atlantic City has hosted many iconic World Wrestling Entertainment events in the past, such as WrestleMania IV in 1988 and WrestleMania V in 1989.

Triple H recently confirmed a U-turn on major WWE decision

A new report by PWInsider recently indicated that Chief Content Officer Triple H and President Nick Khan recently discussed the return of WWE Live events at a town hall meeting. The duo highlighted the importance of house shows in helping superstars get reps in the ring and trying out new things in front of a live crowd.

Khan and The Game added that the company’s upcoming live events will allow up-and-coming talents to gain more experience in front of a live audience under the tutelage of experienced performers. The sports entertainment juggernaut seemingly wants to find the right balance when it comes to the booking of house shows to avoid injuries to wrestlers.

This is a major U-turn from WWE’s decision to scale back non-televised live shows. TKO Group executives previously claimed that house shows were marginally profitable and affected the work-life balance of the promotion’s wrestlers. However, the sports entertainment juggernaut officially brought back live events with the release of its latest Summer Tour schedule.
