After several stars shared their thoughts on Backlash, AJ Styles has also shared a comment on Instagram about The Empress’ current situation.

“I don’t know the facts, but I know @wwe_asuka will be a Hall of Famer.” he wrote, with a photo of himself with the former Women’s Champion and Kairi Sane.

It’s unclear what the situation is surrounding The Empress of Tomorrow at present because there’s nothing official out there. WWE stars appear to be banding together to ensure that they say goodbye to the former Women’s Champion, since she has been the glue of the women’s division for more than a decade and will be missed in the locker room.

Asuka could have retired from WWE

The Empress of Tomorrow shared an update on her Instagram account ahead of the match last night, which appeared to be her saying goodbye.

Following WWE Backlash, Iyo Sky and several other stars have sent messages to her that appear to confirm she has left the company. WWE is yet to share any official updates about the Japanese star, which is a shock considering the retirement tour that John Cena just had.

If she has retired from the company, then there should at least be something from WWE to announce this or allow her to say goodbye in her own way. It’s harsh if she lost that match to Iyo Sky last night, and now the decision has been made for her to leave.

The Empress is one of the best-known female wrestlers in WWE and at one point, she was considered to be the best female wrestler in the company, she deserves a better farewell if that was her final match.
