IYO Sky and Asuka will compete in a singles bout. Trick Williams with Lil Yachty will defend his United States Championship against Sami Zayn. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker are also set to lock horns in a much-anticipated showdown. Lastly, Danhausen and his mystery partner will square off against the Miz and Kil Wilson in a tag team match.

In this article, we will be predicting the winner of each match at WWE Backlash 2026.

#5. IYO Sky might defeat Asuka after a massive twist

There is reportedly a belief within WWE that there’s a better than 50% chance Kairi Sane will appear at this weekend’s Backlash event. (@WONF4W)

IYO Sky and Asuka’s feud continues on Monday Night RAW. A few days back, WWE released Kairi Sane from the Sports Entertainment juggernaut despite her active involvement in this feud.

Reports indicated that there is speculation about the Japanese star potentially returning at Backlash 2026. If the rumors are true, then IYO Sky might defeat the Empress of Tomorrow and secure victory after Kairi Sane returns to WWE and betrays Asuka. We have seen that the veteran star repeatedly forced Kairi to follow her commands.

So, if Sane returns to WWE at Backlash, she will seek redemption for her poor behavior and could face Asuka. This will set the stage for a future showdown between them.

#4. Trick Williams may retain his United States Championship

Trick Williams became the new United States Champion at WrestleMania 42 by defeating Sami Zayn. Since his arrival on SmackDown, the former NXT Champion has been getting a major push in the main roster.

Though Sami turned heel and worked as a villainous star on the blue brand, there is still a high chance of Trick retaining his mid-card Championship at Backlash 2026.

The chances are extremely low that WWE will put the US title off Trick anytime soon. He may at least hold the Championship till SummerSlam 2026.

#3. Bron Breakker might defeat Seth Rollins after a major return

BRON BREAKKER JUST BROKE SETH ROLLINS IN HALF #WWERaw

Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins are finally set to lock horns in a high-profile bout at Backlash 2026. At WrestleMania this year, the new Big Dog returned to WWE and destroyed the Visionary.

The former Vision leader seeks revenge against Breakker for betraying him on the red brand. Bron has been booked as a pure monster in his feud against Seth Rollins.

Considering the strong booking, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Vision member defeats the Architect at WWE Backlash 2026. However, they might end after Bronson Reed’s surprise return.

The Tsunami is currently on hiatus from WWE due to a real-life injury. As of writing, there is no confirmed news, but the company can bring Bronson to Backlash if he gets medically cleared.

Bronson Reed’s involvement will allow Bron to capitalize and defeat Rollins. This could set the stage for a rematch between them in a future Premium Live event.

#2. Danhausen and his mystery partner might overpower Miz and Kit Wilson

Since his WWE debut, Danhausen has been getting great TV time. The Triple H creative regime tried to book him in multiple segments, and currently, he is engaged in a feud with the Miz and Kit Wilson.

Though Danhausen’s mystery partner has not been confirmed, there is a chance it could be Oba Femi. The Ruler squashed Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. If he joins hands with the ex-AEW star at Backlash 2026, his victory is imminent.

Even if the tag partner is not the Nigerian giant, Danhausen is still likely to win the upcoming Premium Live event.

#1. Roman Reigns might retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu

Roman Reigns is back on the top of the mountain as he is the present World Heavyweight Champion on Monday Night RAW. The first challenger of the OTC is Jacob Fatu.

During this entire build-up, the Samoan Werewolf got the best of Reigns and overpowered him multiple times. Despite this momentum, Fatu is unlikely to defeat the Original Tribal Chief at the upcoming Premium Live event.

In his last World title reign, the Head of the Table featured legendary names such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, former WWE stars Edge & Daniel Bryan, and more. So, it will not make sense if the company books Roman dropping the title against Jacob at Backlash 2026.

The chances for a title switch are slim, especially when the OG Bloodline leader just won the Championship at WrestleMania 42. So, the former US Champion might push Roman Reigns to the limits at Backlash 2026, but the OTC remains a favorite to emerge as the winner.
