Sam Kerr has established herself as Chelsea Women’s all-time record scorer with the opening goal in their Women’s Super League clash against Leicester City.

The Foxes are already bound for a relegation play-off, but Sonia Bompastor’s side are in the hunt to secure Champions League football next season.

Kerr, who has endured a torrid time with injuries in recent campaigns, opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium with a headed effort.

In doing so, she surpasses Chelsea legend Fran Kirby to become their all-time leading goalscorer in WSL history with 64 goals.
