The duo had been a part of the global juggernaut for years and were even expected to end their careers with their current employers. However, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have decided to take a bet on themselves.

As soon as the news of their departure became public, there was a flurry of reactions from the wrestling universe, and now, their former New Day stablemate, Big E, too, has broken his silence. A few hours back, a retired star shared an animated photo of Woods and Kingston on his Instagram stories.

Big E hasn’t competed since 2022 due to neck issues and is unlikely to follow Woods and Kingston as they now navigate the wrestling world beyond WWE.

The New Day could be heading to AEW after their WWE exit

Considering just how popular and revered The New Day is, it’s safe to say AEW and Tony Khan would have no second thoughts about making them a grand offer. Several stars in the company, including MJF, FTR, and New Day’s biggest dream opponents, The Young Bucks, have already hinted at their imminent arrival.

If that wasn’t enough, reports have also suggested that many within All Elite Wrestling have pushed the idea of getting them on board. Though Woods and Kingston have a 90-day non-compete clause, the chatter surrounding them is unlikely to fizzle out until we see them make their first non-WWE appearance.

Apart from a clash with Nick and Matt Jackson, The New Day could have shown-stealing encounters with several other teams on the AEW roster. Moreover, their presence itself could be a boon for other up-and-coming duos in the locker room.
