Many of these names came as a huge shock, but it seems that Cross was prepared, since she has already filed trademarks for her new name and persona. Cross was known as Nikki Storm before she joined WWE, and “The Best in the Galaxy” appears to be the gimmick she is set to return to.

After these filings were made public, she shared the following update on X, showing her wearing a Nikki Storm shirt and captioned with a winking face.

Nikki Cross has represented Scotland for many years, and, likely, she will now make her return to the Independent Circuit in the UK and Ireland, alongside her husband, Killian Dain, who was released several years ago.

Before joining WWE, Nikki Cross was one of the UK’s best-known female wrestlers and had already established herself in a number of promotions.

Nikki Cross is set to return to her roots

As Nikki Storm, she was able to climb her way through the ranks to be signed by WWE, and now she could be looking to go back to her roots and find the passion that she ignited several years ago.

Cross’ run in Wyatt Sicks was some of her best character work, but she was limited in the ring, and it appeared that the company didn’t want her to be part of the Women’s Division while she was in the group.

Wyatt Sicks could have been one of the company’s most intriguing teams, but it seemed that the company dropped the ball with the group and moved them over to SmackDown, where they were seemingly forgotten.

The group’s debut was one of the greatest of all time, but WWE couldn’t capitalise, which caused a huge issue for all five members. It’s unclear what’s next for Wyatt Sicks and if there is any chance of them reuniting outside of WWE.
