Keeping this in mind, both The Undertaker and the company seem to have made the decision not to involve him in LFG anymore. His friend and NXT head honcho, Shawn Michaels, also alluded to this on the premier episode of the 3rd season, where Kevin Owens was introduced as the new member of the coaching staff.
The former Universal Champion hasn’t wrestled since March 2025 due to mounting injuries, and his new role on LFG is sure to keep him occupied until he readies himself for his impending in-ring return.
Kevin Owens on taking up The Undertaker’s role in LFG
Addressing his involvement with WWE LFG, Kevin Owens said that he had been a part of the business for decades now and wanted to share his insights with the younger generation. He also confessed that being injured had made him restless and that he wanted to get involved in the business again in some form or another.
“I’ve been wrestling for 25 years. Ultimately, for me, I just want to help the next generation, and also, I don’t really know what I’d do with myself if I didn’t. This is just all I’ve done since I was 15. This is what I love, this is what I’ve always loved. Right now, I’ve been off for 8, 9 months because of my neck surgery. I’m losing my mind. I just want to be around it.”
While it’s great to see KO getting involved with LFG, there’s no doubt that the majority of fans are craving to see him recover and step back into the ring.
