On RAW, Michael Cole officially confirmed that The Beast Incarnate had called it a day. But wait just a minute. The man who signed Brock Lesnar to WWE thinks otherwise.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, legendary commentator Jim Ross talked about the former WWE and UFC Champion’s legacy. JR said he knew Lesnar was special, and he paid him more money than any other rookie to sign him.

Ross then mentioned he doesn’t believe we have seen the last of Lesnar despite his retirement at WrestleMania 42.

“Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar? Hell no, no way. Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar as a semi-reoccurring character on TV? I think so. But I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him,” Ross said.

The WWE Hall of Famer then pointed out that Lesnar could return for WrestleMania or other major events next year and didn’t rule out him facing Oba Femi again.

I think for WrestleMania next year or major events, they’ve got somebody. With all those financially oriented guys investing in the company, they’re in it for the cash, and if they project that Brock Lesnar returned to fight Oba Femi. I know they fought already. That means nothing to me. If you’re good at what you do for a living, you should be able to do it more often than once and kick a**. And I’m sure those two guys could do that,” Ross said.

WWE changed plans for Brock Lesnar’s feud with Oba Femi

The feud between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi began after The Ruler took out The Beast on an episode of RAW and declared himself for his open challenge at WrestleMania 42.

Femi continued to get the better of Lesnar leading up to the showcase event and then won against him in emphatic fashion. Following the defeat, Lesnar left his gear in the ring, hinting at this retirement.

Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio noted that WWE planned a different direction for the Lesnar-Femi feud.

He mentioned the original plans were to have a full feud between them, likely to feature more than their one match at WrestleMania. However, these plans were dropped weeks ago.
