“What I want to clear up is that, at first, Nia had gotten a lot of heat online, and she actually helped me. When it came to the end of the match, and the girls had to take us out, I knew at that point, I couldn’t even put weight on my foot. I was in so much pain where I knew it was really bad. My foot hurts so bad.’ She’s like, ‘Wait, what?’ ‘I can’t get thrown out, I need to step out.’ She helped me step out, but people made it like she injured me. No, Nia actually really helped me in that moment. I would have belly flopped on the ground if I had gotten thrown out. I knew I couldn’t put my feet down,” she claimed.

It was believed that Nikki Bella would be able to be cleared before WrestleMania 42, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, she was replaced on the night by Paige, who made her WWE return after four years.

Paige and Brie Bella were shockingly victorious in the match as well, since Paige was able to pick up the win for her team with the RamPaige on Alexa Bliss. This means that Brie and Paige are now Women’s Tag Team Champions.

It’s unclear how Nikki Bella will fit back into this story, since she could be sidelined for several more months. It’s also already been well-documented that Nikki and Brie made their return to WWE to be Women’s Tag Team Champions together, and now Brie has been forced to win the titles with someone else.
